How to Survive in Uncomfortable Work Environment

You know, I agree with some people who say “having a day job can be stressful”. I totally agree with them because when you work in a 9-5 job, you are meeting with people who might bring you down anytime. You will be a good victim of their verbal abuse and bad attitude. I know that not all jobs out there are uncomfortable, but for what I know, most of them do.

If you are working in a job that you don’t like, you are merely working for the money. And when you work only for the money, you won’t do your job properly. The result is that your work productivity will get affected negatively. You may even submit work papers that are not satisfactory for your company. Your boss will yell and scream at you almost every day, and you will hate your job even more.

Now, let us talk about how you can handle such uncomfortable work environment. If you have bad co-workers and unpleasant work environment, I suggest you to think about moving out of your job as quickly as possible. If you’re working for the money, you should know that there are other ways to make even more money than you currently earn while working on a job that you love the most. But, if you insist on surviving in your current day job, then here are some tips to do:

1. Do the job as best as you can

Focus on getting your assigned work done. You don’t want to get a yell from your boss. You want his or her compliment. If you do the best work, then at least you’re save from their evil attitude and they will also consider you as a good asset for the company you’re working with.

2. Talk with bad co-workers as little as possible

Ignore them as much as you can. If you sense a bad treatment from your co-workers, then you have to avoid them at all cost, except at certain circumstances. If you must work together with them, then there is no other choice than getting along with them as best as you can. However, just focus on getting your work done and move on immediately.

3. Find good co-workers and be with them often

Next thing to do is to find good co-workers that you can get along well and be with them often. When it’s time for lunch, hang out with your good co-workers and have a lunch together. The more you spend your time with them in the workplace, the better.

Those tips should be able to help you to survive in uncomfortable work environment. Of course, if you want to survive. But, I suggest you to quit your day job as soon as possible if you want to keep your mind at peace.
